Inka's Network Adventure E.I.R.L respects client privacy and is committed to protecting personal information shared with us. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

01 Information We Collect

When you make a reservation, contact us, or browse our website, we may collect:

• Identification data: full name, passport / ID number (required by Peruvian tourism law).
• Contact data: email address, phone number, WhatsApp, country of residence.
• Booking data: tour selection, travel dates, group size, dietary or accessibility needs.
• Payment data: processed by certified gateways (Izipay). We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, cookies — used to improve our website.

02 How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data exclusively to:

• Confirm and operate the tour or service you booked.
• Communicate before, during and after your trip (itinerary, pickup details, follow-up).
• Comply with Peruvian tourism regulations and tax obligations.
• Improve our services through anonymized usage analysis.
• Send you optional travel tips and offers — only if you've explicitly opted in.

03 Confidentiality & Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

We share data only with carefully-vetted partners who are essential to delivering your trip:

• Authorized transport providers, lodges and licensed guides (name and dietary needs only).
• The Peruvian Ministry of Culture and SERNANP (for Inca Trail permits — required by law).
• Payment processors (Izipay) under their respective privacy policies.

All partners are contractually bound to protect your information.

04 Cookies & Tracking

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device that helps a website function and understand how it is used. We group cookies into two categories:

• Essential cookies — required for the website to work (for example, remembering your language preference, your booking cart and your cookie choice). These are always active and do not require consent.
• Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 to help us understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, general location, device) so we can improve it. These are only activated if you accept them.

Your choice. The first time you visit, a banner lets you Accept or Decline analytics cookies. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is never loaded. If you accept, we remember your choice for 12 months. You can change your decision at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Cookies we use:

• inka_consent (essential) — stores your Accept/Decline choice. Expires after 12 months.
• _ga, _ga_<id> (analytics, Google Analytics 4) — distinguish visitors and sessions. Set only after you accept. Typically expire after up to 24 months.

We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Google processes this data as described in Google’s own privacy policy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing Google’s browser add-on.

05 Data Security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures: SSL encryption on all data transmission, restricted-access servers, regular security audits, and strict internal access controls. While no system is 100% impenetrable, we do everything within our power to keep your data safe.

06 Your Rights

Under Peruvian Personal Data Protection Law (Ley N° 29733) and applicable international standards (GDPR for EU residents), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your data (where not required by law).
• Object to processing or withdraw consent at any time.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

07 Data Retention

We keep your booking records for as long as required by Peruvian tax and tourism law (typically 5 years), and longer only if you remain on our newsletter list. After this period, your data is securely deleted.

08 Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

09 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
