Clear, transparent rules for cancellations and refunds. Machu Picchu & Inca Trail bookings are non-refundable once permits are issued; traditional tours follow our standard scale. Travel insurance is recommended.
By booking our services, you acknowledge and agree to these refund policies. Please note that Machu Picchu and Inca Trail tours are non-refundable — permits, entrance tickets and trains are purchased immediately after payment — while traditional tours follow our standard cancellation scale. We recommend securing travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
All tours that include Machu Picchu entrance tickets and/or Inca Trail permits — such as the Classic Inca Trail 4 Days, Short Inca Trail 2 Days, One Day Inca Trail, Machu Picchu day tours, Salkantay treks ending at Machu Picchu, and multi-day packages that include a Machu Picchu visit — are strictly non-refundable once payment is completed.
The reason is simple and transparent: as soon as your payment is confirmed, we immediately purchase your Machu Picchu entrance ticket, secure your Inca Trail permit with the Ministry of Culture of Peru, and contract train tickets, buses, guides and porters under your name and passport number. These permits and tickets are personal, non-transferable and non-refundable by the Peruvian government and its official providers, so we are unable to recover those costs.
Traditional day tours and treks that do not include Machu Picchu tickets or Inca Trail permits — such as Rainbow Mountain, Humantay Lake, Sacred Valley, Cusco City Tour, Palcoyo, Waqrapukara, Q’eswachaka, South Valley, Maras & Moray, Ausangate and Choquequirao treks, and Lake Titicaca tours — follow this cancellation scale:
In the event of cancellation by Inka's Network Adventure due to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, political movements, accidents, or other events beyond our control, we will offer full refunds or alternative available tours, subject to availability and agreement with the customer. For Machu Picchu and Inca Trail tours, government-issued permits and entrance tickets remain subject to the Ministry of Culture's own policies.
2.1. Approved refunds are processed using the same payment method used for the original booking. Once approved, refunds can take up to 30 days to appear in your account — the exact time depends on your card issuer, bank and the payment method used (credit card, debit card or bank transfer). International card refunds typically take longer than domestic ones.
2.2. To initiate the refund process, customers must contact Inka's Network Adventure via email at [email protected], providing booking details and the cancellation request.
2.3. Reminder: tours that include Machu Picchu tickets or Inca Trail permits are non-refundable (see section 1.1), as those services are purchased and contracted immediately after payment.
3.1. Unused Products: For any unused and eligible product or service, customers must notify Inka's Network Adventure within 15 days from the original start date of the service. Returns are subject to evaluation and may be subject to administrative charges.
3.2. Damaged or Defective Products: In case of receiving damaged or defective products, customers must inform Inka's Network Adventure immediately upon receipt. An appropriate solution will be provided, which may include product replacement, credit, or refund as necessary.
