Manu Amazon 4 days: the complete jungle guide

9 min read Local Cusco team Updated February 2026

Manu is not just any rainforest — it is one of the most biodiverse places on the entire planet. This four-day journey carries you from the high cloud forest down into the lowland jungle, with macaws, monkeys and oxbow lakes along the way.

Into one of Earth’s wildest places

You descend from the Andes through cloud forest alive with the cock-of-the-rock into the lowland Amazon, exploring rivers and oxbow lakes by boat in search of macaws, monkeys, caimans and, with luck, giant otters.

Manu protects an extraordinary range of Amazon wildlife.
