DAY 1
Full day: Uros and Taquile Islands
After pickup from your Puno hotel and a short transfer to the port, sail about 30 minutes to the Uros Floating Islands, where the Uros people build their homes, boats and islands entirely from totora reeds and share their unique way of life on the lake.
Continue by boat to Taquile Island, walking a scenic trail to the main square with sweeping views of Titicaca's deep blue waters. Visit local art workshops, enjoy a traditional lunch in a family home, then return by boat to Puno and transfer to your hotel.

Acclimatize in Cusco first
Spend a day or two in Cusco (3,400 m) before high-altitude excursions. Hydrate well, eat light, drink coca tea and avoid alcohol. Our guides carry oxygen and support on every climb.
Physical fitness
Easy to moderate. The boat does most of the work. On Taquile you walk uphill on stone paths for about 30–45 minutes at almost 4,000 m; take it slowly and the island’s views will reward you.
Best time to go
Lake Titicaca can be visited all year. From May to October skies are clear and nights very cold; from December to March afternoon showers are common, but the islands are green and quiet.
Sun & weather
At 3,812 m the sun on the lake is intense, and the reflection on the water makes it stronger. Bring sunscreen SPF 50+, a hat and sunglasses, and a warm jacket: mornings and nights on the lake are cold.
